Summary The Last of Us – Episode 4: “Please Hold My Hand” (Please Hold My Hand)
Starting our The Last of Us Summary series, the fourth episode of the series begins with Joel (Pedro Pascal) and Ellie (Bella Ramsey) going from car to Wyoming, where Joel assumes his brother Tommy (Gabriel Luna) is, to direct the teenager to the Fireflies' base, crossing the western United States. On the way, Joel explains to Ellie why he and his brother went to Boston, as well as how he met Tess and Marlene and what it was like when Tommy was one of the Fireflies.
When they arrived in Kansas and found the passage blocked, Joel decides to cross the city and finds other signs of danger, that is, those that were not left by infected people. There, they find an abandoned FEDRA (Federal Disaster Response Agency) base and fall into an ambush by evil survivors. They crash the car into an abandoned store and a shootout starts. During the conflict, Ellie saves Joel from an enemy who had left him immobilized.
Still in episode 4, we meet the character Kathleen (Melanie Lynskey), who searches for a man called Henry, seeking revenge. She believes that Henry was responsible for her brother's death by FEDRA. Still, she believes that Henry was responsible for the attack on her group – however, those responsible were Joel and Ellie.
While the city is patrolled, Joel and Ellie decide to hide until the patrol is over. At the hideout, Joel teaches Ellie how to use the gun (from Bill and Frank's old house) that she used in the shootout to save him.
When Kathleen's group searches the site of the attack, they find signs that Henry was there, as well as signs that the building's basement was giving way. The leader, however, ordered the group to remain focused on the search for Henry.
Back to the protagonists, who, while finding a shelter to spend the night, Joel tells Ellie that he was once part of the group of rebels that Kathleen is part of, and Ellie vents to her friend about the violence she had to endure. commit throughout your life.

Summary The Last of Us – Episode 5: “Endure and Survive” (Resist and Survive)
The episode begins with a flashback to a few days ago. In it, The People faction (led by Kathleen) is celebrating a violent victory over FEDRA in Kansas City.
Amidst the commotion, we see the Henry brothers – the oldest and who always tries to protect his little brother- and Sam – the youngest, who is deaf and communicates using sign language – hidden while being helped by a doctor.
Continuing our The Last of Us Summary, Henry and Sam witness the moment when Joel and Ellie are attacked by the faction, and realize Joel's ease in handling weapons and surviving. Therefore, Henry, looking for another shelter for him and his brother – for their food supply had run out – decides to follow the duo and ambush them during the night, bringing viewers back to the present time.
Parallel to this event, Kathleen remains focused on her search for Henry, but questions herself whether she should forgive the man for ratting out her brother to FEDRA.
Together with Joel, Ellie and Sam, Henry plans to leave the city through the underground tunnels. However, the risk of finding infected people was greater, so Joel would intervene if necessary. Along their journey, both Joel and Henry and Ellie and Sam begin to develop a friendship. In a conversation with Joel, Henry says that he ratted out Kathleen's brother to save Sam, who needed chemotherapy.
However, along the way, The People attack the quartet, and moments later, a horde of infected people appears from the ground, affecting little Sam.
After the tense moment, Sam tells Ellie that he is afraid of turning into a monster. However, the girl reassures him, explaining that she is immune to the fungus and putting some of her blood on the boy's wound. The next day, Sam, transformed, attacks Ellie, and Henry, desperately, shoots his brother, fatally hitting him and, a few moments later, shoots himself, in front of Joel and Ellie.
Finally, Joel and Ellie bury the brothers' bodies and follow their plan to find Tommy in Wyoming. 
Summary The Last of Us – Episode 6: “Kin”
Three months after the death of Henry and Sam, Joel and Ellie arrive at a house of northern inhabitants, a very cold place. There, they manage to get an idea of where to look for Tommy. Later, Joel begins to have chest pains, which indicates a serious health problem.
While going to meet Joel's brother, the pair come across an intimidating group of people on horses, who approach them. Joel tells them that he is looking for Tommy, and the gang takes them to Jackson's commune, where Tommy finally reappears in the series.
The small town of Western, a great shelter against the apocalypse in the series, with electricity, restaurants and cinemas, is where Tommy and his wife Maria (Rutina) live. Wesley), who is expecting Tommy's child.
Later, in a conversation with Tommy, Joel reveals to his brother Ellie's immunity to the fungus, and his intention to hand her over to him, so he can take her to the Fireflies' base, and also her physical condition: he says who is, little by little, becoming deaf and who cannot see himself moving forward on his journey. In parallel to this conversation, Maria tells Ellie that Joel had a daughter, Sarah (Nico Parker).
After a serious conversation, Joel and Ellie reach an agreement: during the night, Pedro Pascal's character would leave, and the teenager played by Bella Ramsey would leave with Tommy, however, Joel, with remorse, asked the girl who she prefers to go with and she, without hesitation, says with Joel.
On the journey to the university where the Fireflies are, Joel teaches Ellie how to shoot, and opens up about his past. When they arrive at the base, they realize that no one from the faction was there, just a group that was walking around the place. Joel manages to kill one of them, but later realizes he was stabbed in his abdomen. The two manage to leave the place on horseback, however, moments after escaping, Joel appears extremely pale and with a dead appearance. 
Summary The Last of Us – Episode 7: “Left Behind” (Left behind)
The episode, which has the same name as the DLC of the video game on which the series was based, added another touch of emotion to The Last of Us.
The chapter begins with a direct continuation of episode 6, which shows Joel seriously injured. Ellie takes him to a shelter, where he regains consciousness and asks the girl to leave him and return to Tommy's house.
From there, we embark on a flashback to Ellie's past: she is in the Boston quarantine zone, and misses Riley (Storm Reid), her best friend and former love interest. disappeared suddenly. But the protagonist is surprised when Riley arrives and tells her that he has joined the Fireflies and invites her to walk through an abandoned shopping mall.
There, Riley tells Ellie that the Fireflies are leaving Boston, so that night would actually be goodbye. The two share their first kiss and decide to stay together, but their happiness is interrupted when an infected person arrives and bites them. From then on, we already know what happened.
To finish our The Last of Us Summary, the series brings us back to the current moment, and shows that Ellie did not obey Joel's request not to let him die.
