In this article, we'll show you how to navigate the app, as well as its main features. Follow along!
Installing the application
Installing the app on your cell phone is very simple. Just search for “World Cup 2022” in the search bar of your Android device's app store, then scroll down until you find the app that has exactly the name mentioned above. Once you have found the app, click on its name, and then “install”. If you already want to open the application, click “open” after the download is complete. Otherwise, look for the app on your phone's home screen to open it.
How the “World Cup 2022” app works
On the first screen of the app, the main menu will appear, consisting of 8 categories, which we will explain below. The categories are: “Finals”, “Europe”, “South America”, “N. America + Caribbean”, “Africa”, “Asia”, “Oceania” and “More Applications”.
Finals
When you click on this category, a menu will appear on your screen to choose the teams you want the application to notify you about. If you want to select one or more teams, just click on the square next to the team names, and then on “OK”. If you don't want to receive notifications, just click “OK”.
Soon after, you will be redirected to a page where all the matches from the final stages of the World Cup appear, with general information such as the countries that played, the scores, whether the match has already ended or how much time is left until it starts, and when the match has been or will be played. To display more details about a particular match, simply click on it and a box will appear that can be closed by clicking on the “x” in the upper right corner, with 3 icons at the top:
Ball with cards: by clicking on this icon, you can check when the goals were scored and by which player, as well as which players received yellow or red cards.
Green and red arrows: here you can check the player substitutions that occurred during the match and when they occurred.
Football field: in this section, the lineups for the selected match are shown.
It is important to highlight that, for all categories in the main menu, the information that the application provides about the matches is the same.
Also in this category, by clicking on ☰, in the top left corner, you have access to:
World Cup Groups: when you press a specific group, all matches in that bracket are displayed.
Finals: here the final phases that are happening at the time you access will be displayed
Players: in this section you will see all the players who scored at least one goal during the World Cup and information about them, such as their name, the team they play for and their goal difference.
Settings & Information: here you can choose whether you want to receive notifications about goals, about match starts and ends or starts, pauses and ends, select which teams you want to be notified about, in addition to knowing about team formations. Below is a shortcut to the app's settings in relation to your cell phone, such as data usage, for example. These settings are also displayed in the settings icon next to the globe at the top.
To return to the home menu, in whatever category you are, click on the globe icon in the top ribbon of the app, or on “☰” , and then in “The World”.
Europe
In this category, you receive information about the championships taking place in Europe, that is, not necessarily about the World Cup. The information provided for the European championship is basically the same, including that present in the menu accessible in the top left corner. The only difference is that this menu does not have the “Players” category, but rather the “Tiebreak” category, where the European championship tiebreak matches are displayed.
South America
Here you can access the matches taking place in the South American championship, divided into the categories “Match”, “Group A” (here you can also check the live scores and a ranking with the team classification in the top menu of the page) and “Tiebreaker”.
Africa
In this category, matches that take place in African tournaments are displayed, divided into: “Jornada 1”, “Jornada 2, A”, “Jornada 2, B” ;, “Jornada 2, C”, “Jornada 2, D”, “Jornada 2, D”, “Jornada 2, E”, “Jornada 2, F”, “Jornada 2, G”, “Jornada 2, H”, “Jornada 2, I”, 8220;Jornada 2, J” and “Jornada 3”. For each matchday 2, live scores and the ranking of the participating countries are also available in the top menu on the page.
Asia
Here are the matches that take place in African tournaments, divided into: “Jornada 1”, “Jornada 2, A”, “Jornada 2, B”, “Jornada 2, C”, “Jornada 2, D”, “Jornada 2, D”, “Jornada 2, E”, 8220;Jornada 2, F”, “Jornada 2, G”, “Jornada 2, H”, “Jornada 2, I”, “ Journey 3, A” ,”Jornada 3,B” and “Jornada 4”. and “Tiebreaker”. Live scores and classification also appear here for each round 2 in the top menu.
Oceania
In this category, matches from Oceania tournaments are available, divided into: “Jornada 1, A”, “Jornada 2, A”, “Jornada 2, B& #8221; and “Tiebreaker”. In each matchday, you also have access to live scores and standings.
